The iPad has arrived in Lausanne Switzerland

Well, the iPad has arrived here at Edificom, maybe the first in Lausanne!!?

This is a 16G WiFi model with iLuv Blue Silicon cover. Not the best cover, but till the leather portfolio I ordered comes in, it will do.

What can I say, I am very impressed. The reviews were not kidding when they said it’s fast. It’s very fast. Even coming from an iPhone 3GS this thing blows it away in terms of responsiveness.

The display of course is bright and clear, the included iBook, Winnie the Pooh, looks great The Marvel comic book reader is very nice.

And if you already have an iPhone or iPod touch, the apps stored in your iTunes get installed the first time you sync. This can be turned off course.

I’m looking forward to reading news and magazines on the metro/sofa/bed with this. Especially the US-based magazines I cannot buy here or cost a small fortune to import. I will not download any books till I finish the real ones I have

Soon I will try the iWork apps, can this replace the work laptop?, of course not, but I see this being much easier to deal with for work email and simple documents.

Oh yeah, can surf the web, listen to music, look at pics, even have a nice photo frame. The App potential for the iPad is limitless. Here are a couple more pics for now……
